Anyone here belong to that stunning grey 1940's beetle that I see in and around Umhlanga Rocks?

I'm dying to find a local supplier who can help me with the semaphores, if not, the UK it is.

Thanks for the heads up.

This was one of the cleanest 40's beetle I've ever seen. 100% restored and to a damn high level. Paint work was very high class, as was the interior. Really really impressive job

40's (Post-war) Beetles are indeed a rare breed. 1951 Was the first year that Beetles were built in South Africa, so all earlier ones were imported (or driven here through Africa). Would love to see pics of this one!

It's why I stopped the car like a freak and jumped out, you just don't see many anymore, even in Europe...

the level of work on this was the same as the one I saw in london and they had spent 10k (pounds) doing it right. Right now I'm lacking the chrome strips down the side and bonnet and the semaphores. Once I have those, it's off to the bodyshop for my '59 to get it all sorted out for once and for all...
