Yes.With the strikes, the businesses they are stuffing around, the Cosafa cup that we lost and the current economy,I wonder how they are going to repay this debt in the poorest province.
They stopped all work on Coega.Between GM,Ford,VW and ABSA have layed off over 3000 people. Most companies are on short time. This doesn't make sense anymore.

When we got the SWC it was estimated it will cost us R2 Billion
Then that cost went up to R9.1 Billion in 2006.
Current costs:
Green Point- R3.7 Billion
Kings Park- R2.8 Billion
PE- R1.8 Billion
Ellis Park- R1.5 Billion
Polokwane- R1.1 Billion
Rustenburg- R360 Million
Nelspruit-R920 Million
Loftus- R1.1 Billion
Bloemfontein- R306 Million
Gautrain- R25.5 Billion
Rapid Bus Transit- R10 Billion
Extra Pay for Police-R640 Million
Total-R48.8 BIllion Rand!!!
A further R600 Billion needs to be spent on infrastructure
How are they going to get this money back?

They aren't. These tournaments don't make money. The only Olympics that ever made any money was Atlanta. But just think of the prestige. Hoohaa. I'm sure all the homeless hungry people are overjoyed at the prestige. (The incredibly unbelievable thing is, they are?!?!?!?)
