I would like to thank HR, his wife and daughter, as well as Tom and his family, for going out of their way to help me get home from George.
For those who don't know yet. I bought Chris's red Notchback and drove her from George to Cape Town.
She is now known as: Christn. In honor of all the people that have played a roll in getting her into my garage.
C - Chris, thanks for towing her all the way from PE as part of your epic journey. I will treat her well.
H - HR, thank you for calming me down when I was about to blow my fuse. Having you there made a world of difference.
R - Renier, my grandfather who owned a Fastback that inspired me to own a Type 3 of my own.
I - As in me, myself and I. (Yes, I needed a vowel)
S - Simon and Sandra. My parents.
T - Tom and Tommy, the father and son team that turned back to George to assist a fellow ACVW fan in need. Thanks for the pep talk at the station Tom. I needed it
N - Nicky, my wife, who has never complained nor spoke a single angry word regarding my obsession with these cars. Thank you for your support and understanding.
"Thank you" seems, to me, a very empty phrase. Incapable of describing the appreciation and gratitude I have for what these people have done. I hope, that naming her in this manner, serves as a more meaningful demonstration.
