Actually, he was just telling him, that because it is a US beetle, being a 67 it has balljoint front suspension and no longer king and link pin. But Fanie wouldn't believe him so he had to SHOW him.

hmm, truth is:
Kyalami 1974, J.Scheckter pitstop during the F1 race
mechanics are changing the tyrel ford (!) twin front wheels (unfortunately hidden in this pic)
with uhmm, 'safety and security' marshals stopping uhmm eager spectators walking off with the tyres

You guys have it all wrong.
It's the CHiPS guys refusing to give up their patrol Bug for those lousy Harleys' they were forced to ride eventually!!
