dont worry about the sulphur in fuel, at the moment its limited to 0.5% and next year, automotive fuel is dropping to 0.1%, with further decreases in either 2012 or 2015. A few years ago, the limit was 4.5%.

Nikasil (with a "k") cylinders as used by Porsche on the 917 flat 12 around 1971, and on 911 6-cylinder models from 1974, 2.7l and later models, are:

Nikasil- (nickel-silicon carbide) layer that is electrolytically deposited inside an aluminium cylinder.
