suggestion, try cleaning that area around the brake line, so it's dry metal, otherwise if there's a leak, you won't know where the leak is.

WHO DID YOUR TIE ROD ENDS AND BALL JOINTS?
IT LOOKS AS IF YOU HAVE OVERLOOKED YOUR STEERING DAMPER. NORMALLY THEY ARE POKED AND I CAN TELL YOU FROM EXPERIENCE THAT THIS LITTLE GUY IN WORKING ORDER MAKES A HUGE DIFFARENCE TO THE WORK YOU HAVE TO DO WHILST TRYING TO KEEP YOUR BUS ON THE ROAD.

German Steel Toys did the job for me. They a few kms up the road from me which Is very convenient and I don't have the tools to remove them.

Where did you import your rubbers and seals from? How soft is the rubbers and how lekker do they seal the windows and windscreens?

I get all my parts from coolairvw.co.uk and usually parts arrive in about 7 days.

Marty's in Krugersdorp did all my paintwork. They are busy with a few kombis and I am happy with the work done on mine.

I thought about the car show but to be honest I would prefer to try get out of the JHB traffic and head to quieter areas so we will probably head north to Magalisburg on Sunday morning if anyone wants to join.

Got the bus back today and took it for wheel alignment. While there I noticed one "plate" missing from the bottom of the engine. It's a plate that goes from the heater box around the exhaust to the sump (left hand one)

Is it ok if I drive her like this or will it affect the cooling? And anyone know where I can get one?

Ps what a great drive now! She is going so much better.

I started on the interior by stripping out the dash in order to fit the reconditioned one. Wow what a lot of dirt is behind there.
Looking forward to having the new one fitted.

Yes there is a ton of space. Good time to clean up the wiring also.
I have two weeks until the first road trip/weekend away so still lots to do.

The "new" dash and new radio is in! I'm really chuffed! I also started fitting the door panels but I'm not happy with them so I have another option that I'm going to try. I also need to make some kick panels. Anyone have a pattern of them?
Tomorrow we are going on our first breakfast run! Fingers crossed we make it! Can't wait.
Oh and my daughter had some stickers made. Not everyone's taste but she likes them and that's what counts!

Successfully completed our first breakfast/brunch run of around 200kms with no issues although we are slightly deaf due to not having panels and carpets in the bus!
What fun!
