I have been dealilng with Tyl Hanneman, such a nice guy over the phone and as per conversation very trustworthy, I sold my VW to him a couple of weeks ago and paid part of the amount on my VW, I then had to delivered it to Kimberley asap so he can transport it down to his location. He then promised me that the outstanding balance would be paid via EFT asap and till today have not received the full amount from Tyl Hanneman. So please be careful of this individual he cannot be trusted under any circumstances and he does not answer any of my phone calls, whatsapps etc. Here is his details.

It seems that Tyle Haneman has now become an actual con-artist. I agree with Alan, go and lay a charge of theft against him. These guys are ruining the kombi second hand industry as people will become more and more scared to buy or sell a kombi because of rip-off artists like these...Fig, is it not possible to start a WARNING thread about dodgy buyers and sellers?

I thought this thread was exactly that.
You and I both noticed their advertising style, which raised questions about whether they were above board. By creating this thread we've firstly uncovered a lot of info about who these guys are, and secondly we've started to hear some first-hand experience from people who've dealt with them, confirming our initial suspicions. I love this community!

True Fig, but I was thinking more of a sticky which lists quite specifically all dodgy characters and experiences rather than just this bunch...Or maybe can you change the Title of this thread to reflect its content more clearly, as some people are still getting ripped off and then probably only finding the thread afterwards. Something like: WARNING: Dodgy kombi deals

Unfortunately it seems that my friend is still having issues. Despite communications being reestablished and things appearing to be back on track since my last post, Tyl seems to be back to his old tricks and delay tactics. They are going ahead with the criminal charges. To date, 2 vehicles paid for with full restoration, and nothing delivered.
Feel free to add your details here if you have been conned by these guys. I'll forward on your info so that it can be added to the case.

Im afraid thats probably the only way to resolve sh1t like this! If you don't know a shady character that is proficient with a baseball bat, then cop shop and prepare for the long haul.. Please keep us updated.

Unfortunately even the cop shop sometimes does not help. I always check out sellers before hand and plan for the worst then have a back up plan which includes trace-ability, should they be dishonest.
But social media, and the hiring some heavies has worked better than cops and lawyers in the past for me.
I too HATE dishonest people and would spend what I have to, to make sure justice is served. Hope your friend comes right.
