thanks man, yeah its just to find someone down here in durban to do them for me none seems to want to widen wheels here everyone i have spoken to says its too dangerous. i think it would look lakka if there were 9j or so

Hi, will post pic late, at the moment my problem is that the shock tower on the right front touches the body. I was just wondering if this is a Salamander problem, or maybe my body was mounted wrong? Looks like my body should be mounted more forward, maybe 10 mm as the body touches the rear torque bar cover caps......I'm bit new in this.

Not a expert on this as well, can only tell you that by buggy's body do not touches any parts other than where it sits on the pan, as far as I know. Do you have the long wheel or short wheel salamander

I have a LWB. I really find it mind a puzzle. After lifting the body 15 mm from the chassis on the front right hand side, It just clears the shock tower. I wonder if I have a twist in my chassis? Cannot see anything wrong though. I am going to try and re mount the whole thing better. Some people mess up a VW, and then others mess up a buggy even more than a beetle........

Mine touches on the left strut I might have to grind it down abit but I haven't tightened the body down properly yet so that might be why I'll hopefully do that this weekend, in the mean time I stripped the front suspension to check for any broken bits to give me a clue why she's sitting funny on one side so far all is fine nothing broken or missing will try finishing putting it all beck together tomorrow (it's a bitch putting all those blades back in)
