The Fugly came out with 14 wide with 80 wall, so if I go to these 15 then there is a 6% increase in top speed, with the extra power of the 2Lt, I should be able to cruise at a comfortable 120 with low rev's and good fuel economy... ..
Well thats the thinking, anyway, will test and see, but as I am a strange type of guy, I DO like the look..

I actually like the rims and regret selling mine back in 1999.
But I'll never go back to drum brakes...

So finaly. old Fugly with alll her layers of polyfiller, oops, I mean make-up, went out for her 1ST run today.

Went for a 25KM run up and down the road.

The Solex's are still not right, think I should stop throwing money into them, and order me another set of twin Weber 34 ict's

The set on the Fastback are brilliant, lot of power, but still fuel effective.

Motor stayed cool all the way, so the cooling is working as planed.

The rest of the bus is working perfect, so very happy with outcome.

The big wheels give the right ratio for highway cruising, and the 2Lt motor drives the bus without effort.

Till the carbs go on.........

The 'fugly' looks great. I've owned a wc kombi and would love a bay some day!!!

It's awesome seeing buses on the road. i see you're in P.E and may pick your brain from time to time for advice.

Instead of the Weber ICT's, try an IDF conversion. Nothing touches them in my opinion.

I had ICH's on Rumours, they were great too. Except up hills...

Thanks Tony, I have had such go results from my ICT's, and looking up on the Samba and other forums, the guys that have fitted ICT'S are all as happy as a pig in I can balance them at home with a hose pipe.

They easy to set up, easy to work on, easy to balance, good on fuel Do not know the IDF's, all I know is that they 3 times the price, and 4 times more impossible to set then the Solex's

Do not forget, I do not need to spin the wheels when I pull away, I am a good driver that drives fast, not a boy racer fast learning to drive. ..
Give me a few reasons to look at them again, Please....

You see, I have heard that from a few guys, said stay away from the ICH's, but have yet to hear someone that does not race the car have with the real Weber 34 ICT's

One set running in the Fugly at this moment, has Repair kit fitted with new jets.

One set that was in the Fugly, also had its own Repair kit fitted with new jets. but I battled to set them up, but the bus did run on them.

One set for parts only, then you get the whole box of old parts with them
