I bought a 80's Pioneer radio from the guy, paid him and as I turned around to walk away, I saw the Hazet assistant.
Strange how you see all the small things, and sometimes overlook the bigger things at the back of a stall
Good thing you locked your doors as I was going to steal it.

Lucky sod.
BTW found several NOS items. Hella Beetle tail light assemblies, T2 indicator stalk. A set of early 50's head light assemblies that were resold before I got them in my car

Bonny saw me hauling them around and ripped them from my hands before I could say no. At least I know they will be doing duty in the right car, a 1951 split.

Ofcourse...see what I found on TheSamba...apparently this radio is VERY rare and worth alot...
Read these threads, one thread claims that these are sought after for Porsche 356 guys and also the ID54 (as my radio is) can be worth anything from $1800 to $500 depending on condition etc...
I know you will gladly pay me my asking price so no worries, I will keep for you

Hey Zubs.... how are you gonna be mounting the radio as it looks to be a 'rear mount' radio meaning that it does not have a face plate ( is this missing, or might the guy at Timour Hall still have it?)
The radio is pushed through from the under bonnet area, into the cabin so that only the fascia and buttons and knobs are exposed as in some early beetles and buses.... Obviously the radio knobs first need to be removed. This was the common way of installing the units in 50's bugs and buses. Some could either be top mounted, provided you had the correct opening for the radio, or bottom mounted near the '60's' ashtray area, as the oval speaker grill would have taken pride of place above on the dash...
How are you mounting yours?
Will check if I have a radio face plate that could work for yours...

Tx Muds but I dont even know where I am mounting it, not sure if it will fit and also I need to first check with a radio repair technician first if it works.
