Yes the beam has two adjusters, top and bottom,, the who,what,when,how give Splitfan a call

Everything helps even cleaning/fixing the small bits, I sand down and filler up and paint everything I can, just to keep the project rolling

I removed the gearbox today, swopped nose cones and hockey stick with new one.
I removed the spring plate covers, but am stuck, can I just pull off the spring plates and install my notched ones, I dont know how the tension thing works, Anybody have any advice ?

I want to lay a new carpet aswell, but cant get my handbrake lever out, and yes the clips are off, but that pin is not moving at all???

Whoa, Splitz STOP, don't do it. you gonna hurt yourself. I will try and advise you on here , or you can give me a shout tommorrow.

You need to place a jack underneath the spring plate and jack it up untill its just off the little metal stopper on the rear beam. Then take the spring plate covers off (if they are not off already). With the jack still in place, you need to take a large screw driver and push the spring plate away from the rear tube so that it passes the stopper. Once its passed the stopper you can slowly let the jack down. When you now take the plates off the splinned shaft make sure the shaft stays in position, otherwise you will lose the exact positioning of the inner spline. (And you don't wanna do that) Now you can move to the other side.

BE CAREFUL, VERY, VERY CAREFUL.

The hand brake pin probably needs some Q20.

I did this today but when I let the jack down the spring plate moved about 1mm lower than the lip it sits on, I thought that it would go further or have more tension,?

Mine definately moved more than that.
