Just replaced the Fuel pressure regulator on my Audi, I about had a heart attack when I bought it yesterday. A part no bigger than a Matchbox T2 bus, but at $650.00 (my price at the dealer, only place I could find one) it is crazy. But without it my car does not want to run. And Chris you thought your Jetta part was crazy in price.

Sanded the fenders and bonnet, primed, and after a couple of hours sprayed them. Fitted them as well with new fender beading that I bought for my 58 from the local midas. Then got my seatcover to help fix the seats, she fixed the loose stitching in a jiffy and as I was about to fit them back in my bug I woke up!

For obvious reasons, I did not do this today, but just before I left for my new job. I though I'd share this with you. Due to lack of working space I did not do much on the cabrio, but spent some time fixing stuff on the bay and split. On the split I changed the front indicator seals and lenses, as well as fitted the rear light seals and chrome surrounds. I had to rivet in a new earth terminal for the rear lights. I spent a whole day trying to find the right terminal, but no luck. None of the spare places are interested in helping. "We know what you are looking for, but we don't have" Not "We'll try to get you some". bastards!
Anyway, after fitting the lenses I fixed the rear lights wiring and also fitted a new hooter. I then fitted new lenses to the interior lights, but they are not working yet. I need to climb into the wiring when I get back. Here are some pics of the lenses.

When I get back, I'll find some nice galvanised or stainless cap screws to replace the old ones.

I think I'll start a project thread for the two busses as I try to do some work on all of them when I'm home.
