I think I've solved this puzzle..
The Long shaft connects the two carb arms.. Pull the left pushes the right.. The short arm goes from the center pivot to the left carb and shares that arm.. somehow.. I need to see if thats the easiest solutioon, but it looks like how it should work.. Stopping now, my Back's welded..
Thanks for bouncing off ideas Tony.

long ling mounts to both carbs as they are identical and pull in the same direction. shorter link goes to center post and mounts so that it pulls on one carb.
unusual linkage but not unknown.

Jaa thats what I thought, thanks Armand..
It's actually a terrible setup, and I cannot see how one would be able to fine tune the carbs opening simultaneously, or for that matter, my Throttle cabe pulling them open all the way.. It's Stiff and very clunky.. So, now need to find a Bar Linkage that will fit onto these Carbs. A proper system that has accurate adjusters and doesn't seem to jam somehwere in the throttle cable tunnel. Any ideas, who or where Linkages are for sale, let me know pls.
Alternatively, I have a pair of Weber 34 ICTs plus some daft linkage for 3 Grand if anyone wants them.. Solidly miffed now as I have to re-fit the crappy old Carb an intake manifold back, and it's seriously stuffed.. But at least I can drive the car with that on.
Im out.

WTH!
Spent only 2 hours, got the whole single back on, and can't get it to run.. It fired just now, so checking plugs against my photo below, it looks wrong..
The interweb says bottom right should be #1, in my photo, it looks like bottom right is #4!!! Is this correct? Could my car have run like this? (Well it has been, but this doesn't look right. Comments please Mechanics.. I'm seriously battling now.

I give up.. It's all exactly how it's supposed to be, (and was) according to my Pic before I pulled carb off..
Batt is starting to tire, so it's now on charge.. I don't understand whats gone wrong.. NOTHING else was changed or removed.. So all wiring is back on and connected.. I'm absolutely stumped, and gatvol now.
Tony, you keen to come visit and possibly help or you busy?

you obviously have not checked the pm I sent you in the "other forum"
If all goes well, I might be able to swing past around quarter to

haa ha ahaha.. sorry man, saw it now.. right, so ur out.. understood..
gonna keep at it.. it's "almost" running, so it's obviously just a timing thing.. Have done electric test with lamp, get light off and on when rolling pulley, so voltage is flowing correctly.. leads are back on according to my original pic.. so, it should turn over.. weird..

And yes I'll move the filter as soon as I can get the car running.. then I'll haul off the rear wheel and reposition filter.

it ran a few days ago... you took it all off and put it back on
something small is wrong. I'll guess its timing or wires being put on the wrong way around.
It is so easy to get the wires on the dizzy the wrong way around.
Double, triple and quadruple check.
Put the engine on TDC on #1
confirm this is #1
now align the dizzy so the rotor points to the groove
then put the cap on and attach #1 wire to the point where the rotor is pointing.
Now remove the cap to ensure you know exactly which way the rotor turns - turn engine clockwise to check the direction
put cap back on
place #4 onto next plug, then 3 then 2
Now try start the car
if you get a pop or backfire, then you have 2 leads the wrong way around

Fixed. Made one with a Piece of thick gauge Plastic wire, and bent to shape.. Now works as good as the original.. Battery charging, so waiting a few hour and will try kick it again..

IT LIVES!!! And typically, I can't tell what changed, I just re-checked all my connectors and made sure I wasn't earthing anywhere etc.. Tightened everything up.. Fire, run, splutter, but run.. Dash bock, roll Dizi, picks up Revs, grab timing light, slightly out, set it to crank line, purring.. Thanks, I was about to throw a match..
So it's done until I can get a decent linkage for the twins. Now going to MOVE THE FUEL FILTER, as well as re-check the Brakes etc, put carpeting and seats back, and go for a cruise to Signal hill..
Cheerio.
Tony, Thanks for the frequent responses.. Owe you when you're back..

No problem. Its only because when I am not working, I am still stuck on a ship with little more to do than read, watch movies or sit on the internet... and I dont watch many movies.
Glad you got it going
