Bugger, I spoke to Jan at SA Emergency & Fire about some old fire engine goodies, suits ,helmets, reels etc. He said we must make a turn at his place in modderfontein and we can discuss this over a couple of cold ones. Let me know when you want to go and Ill organise with him. :drunks:

And it is no more a Panel van but I am going to use the 11 window 63 bus I got for this project

Ye sorry guys have to update this one and the 66 Squareback Elvis

I managed to get a 1969 Baywindow front suspension with ball joints and wide five wheel lugs

Advantage of using the bay ball joint suspension is that it bolts straight up to the Split bolt patern and it gives the split a Lift of 2 1/2 inches which I want to get the
Roughed off road look for the fire bus. And it gives the bus a slight softer ride with the ball joints and as I want to keep the 15" Bus rims wide five,is why I dont want to use the bay with disc brakes then I need to make adapterplates for the wheels
I am happy with the drum brakes when done right as this will be used rarely
