Well done Shane.....you have been following from the beginning....there are a few attempts to catch the readers out through the way!!!!

So for real, after Tuesday's session when I got dirty, the BUGGERED gearbox is all assembled outside the car and ready for putting back on so that Bobbie can get on the floor again. Once off the lift, we can really fly again as we will be able to complete the internal refit!!!!

I couldn't believe then when I went shopping at the Somerset Mall to see the other beetle in what appears Polar Silver!!!!!

Also running on 205/65R15 and looked to have a huge engine under the lid! Front discs, etc!!

Guys, I need some :help: .....it appears that the Sterling Original clamps have gone missing from the 2 roof racks that I purchased (one from Chris and one from Muds).

I dropped them off at Jurgen to get Powdercoated, they have come back to me but no clamps. No one seems to be able to find.

I know this is a really long shot, does any one have a set I can purchase? :(

Happy New Year everyone and the break has obviously helped some. The rest has helped get some new zest for working on Bobbie! :hangloose:

So the update.....with pictures

The front end has been completed. The cylinders stripped and rebuild with new seals, the balljoints are all new, the bearings are all replaces, drums skimmed, stripped & painted, new shocks, new brake pipes, master brake cylinder rebuild and resealed, new tyres, wheel arches undersealed with stone chip, etc, etc, etc

Picture for those who only believe with picturial proof.....

The side profile.....

The complete underside view.....

All that's left on the front is to get the wheels aligned :D

OK, So to the back, The Buggered gearbox is finally fitted after a few challenges that we needed to solve. The rear brakes are all rebuild like the front with new shocks, etc all ready to be fitted. We hope to have Bobbie on her wheels by the weekend.

She is going to be a stunner Frank.
Good progress and the work looks top quality.

There is just one thing I am confused about:
3. Fit the running broads
I think that should be : The running broads are fit

Did you manage to get those roofrack clamps ?

Last question, but the most serious, what is the absolute last day the she has to be ready for the container?
