Just a question, if that works, will a turbo from a Hilux 3.0l KZ-Te work on a 2.0l aircooled combi motor? :?:
'Cause as luck would have it I have a Hilux turbo and a 2.0l combi motor here and have been toying with the idea of trying a turbo conversion..

Back on track again!!! :D

So I've spent the last few weeks just prepping the car, fixing nick's and scratches, tried my hand in fixing the front fibre spoiler and it came out good, finished the spray job last night and waiting a few day's before I can flat and polish. Casing has been done and just popped it in the acid bath to clean properly, heads have been ported going back to engineering to fit new guides. Still waiting on the Empi 1.25:1 rocker set ordered, should be here by weekend. Front disc's fitted and castor shims too, so she should handle a little better. Sway bar is next on the list,

Need to find someone close to balance crank, flywheel, rods & pistons, and as the engineering shop have "misplaced" my stock valves I might as well look for a set of stainless ones.

Just wish I could take a few days leave, it's just taking too damn long to get everything done

I have always used Dynamic in Edenvale , never had any issues just had a waterpumper bottom end ballanced worked out to less than R700-00 , rods, pistons, cranc, flywheel, pullys and clutch ect.
My biggest fear is that my wife sells my cars for what i told her they cost !!

Just an update,

Sending the rotating assembly to JHB for balancing on Friday, 1.25:1 rockerset will be here tomorrow, heads almost done & ready for assembly,
Picking up a coil driver & electr ign coil over the weekend for the electr dizzy. Still need A/F ratio meter, manual boost controller, BOV, 30mm oilpump, Dellorto jetting, and the odd fuel pipes and wiring etc, etc, almost there whew  looks like I'm working backwards but funny, progress is made :D
With all this put together approx cost will be around 23K incl front disc brakes ( no g/box or susp mods included, no upgraded clutch assy, ) Wow, I've heard them say you can't properly budget for a build like this before and it's true. It's when you're done that you can get a clear picture  , anyway I'm sure it wont end there and the fun will be worth the while :hangloose: :drunks: :hangloose: :drunks:

Bit of an update, I received the heads back today, all shiny and good looking with new guides and shiny new valves, see the difference in spring lengths

Ported and polished by Wena (1st ever) but it came out very good, fitted the high rev valve springs and mocked up those schweet 1.25:1 Empi rocker set :hangloose: next are the moly pushrods and cam followers.

Now she's gonna rev like a mad woman
