Saturday afternoon decided to take it for a spin and poped into my local centre to buy some flowers for the wife, took 2-3 min in the store, as I am walking out, I see a Mudder fukcer leaning up against the driver door, I shout a him and he jumps into a red Polo stoped behind my beetle and the 2 of them speed off almost collecting another Polo.
The fukcer was trying to get the door open and stuffed up my door lock, boy am I miffed, I always knew that the late model beetles were a target, WTF, but didin't think they would be interested in an early classic.
Replaced the door handle with another I had in my parts stash on Sunday, and started fitting the cut out switch I have been putting off for a while, it could be they were just after the Radio but I'm not willing to try my luck again.

Sorry to hear about that Rui...bastards I tell you. Be safe and install the cut off switch, I stayed in Emmarentia for a few years and they tried to steal my golf as well twice...eventually I went to an auto electrician and installed the switch and also had the alarm etc..
You know what they say, the South is not for sissies.....
