Me and my dad fixed my clock last night...there was just a little copper connector that came undone and we simply clipped it back on, but i must say its a fiddly affair. But its working schweet

I hope that mine's an easy fix as that, at least I have two that I can go through.

Ruben, you have a picture of what you're talking about? I think I know what needs to be sorted, but I'm not 100% sure.

Not really struggling, I have tonnes of patience with this kind of thing, but I'm just looking for a picture of what I should be soldering.

It's not this resistor looking thing is it? This is what all of the yanks seem to be pointing me towards.

Just saw this now on the samba.

"thats the one... you have to look close to where the solder link has been broken. you do not have to disassemble to fix it and should find it under the male electrical tab that is sticking out of the back.
good luck"

That right?

that bit in the red sounds right, its not on the picture

It is a squar copper connector maybe 2mm thick that has a hole in the end of it, this hooks onto a small circular tab and must then probably be soldered on.

We didnt strip the clock at all, except for the back cover

I think I know the part that you're talking about. I saw also that the back cover is the only thing that has to come off, I'll tackle this thing tonight and document some pictures for future refrence for others.

Yup. I got mine sorted last night, works ticketyboo perfect now. Only issue that I had was this unit that I got from armand has been set up to ground to a metal dash when installed. There is no ground point on the actuall clock, so I had to make a post and ground it on the screw stalks. No issues though, works like a dream. Now I have to sort out this bloody fuel guage.

After trying my luck at getting intectors, I had a guy on the opel owners forum hook me up with a set of GM BOSCH injectors for R50 each and R50 shipping, got them this morning...........awesome deal, I was ready to pay upwards of R500-00.

1 less thing to get.

Also heard my clock re-winding last night in the garage................in about a week it's only lost 3 minutes.......time to adjust and we should be good to go.
