Got a very nasty surprise today. Opened the garage after a long period of hibernation and discovered that someone got in and nicked most of my Gedore sockets that were there, including a brand new 36, a freakin expensive torque wrench and some other smaller ones that i bought to slowly expand my set

Luckily, the actual wrench and extension was in the fastback so that wasn't taken. I will phone Addendorfs tomorrow and buy a cheap socket set to use in the meantime. This has been the lowest blow in the project so far

Checked the brake fluid level since the refill on sunday, it has not dropped. Then got a torch and checked for leaks on all the drums and wheels, and thank goodness, it does not look like there are any. So hopefully the brakes only need an adjustment. I didn't feel like getting the jack out 7 o'clock at night, perhaps this weekend.

6V battteries? took out the battery from the beetle and put it in the KG last night put it on charge and drive it today to work. Was a slow drive uphill from Pmb towards (Hilton)Cedara with the 1200, and then with the crash(split)box u have to stop dead before putting it into 1 gear, get used to it quickly though.
Hold thumbs wil do Monday police clearance on my "scrapyard" so that the restoration of the DC can begin.

Fitted a new SP1600 Exhaust last night. a chunk kinda fell off the old one from where it was catching on the driveway

To be more specific, the RHS outlet broke off while driving.
Anyway, Anyone wants the old one can have it for free. the 2 into 1 branches are still in perfect condition, can use them to make up a custom exhaust if you wanted. come fetch from either joburg (sunninghill), Pretoria (Lynnnwood) or Witbank.
