Firstly well done, the dash layout looks really good and the gauges turned out awesome.
Your dash layout is correct, all Speedster's, Roadsters, Convertible " D" and I believe some early cabriolets had this type of dash layout, the Coupes had a different layout as shown in the pic, the later cabriolets came out with the same dash as the coupes.
So yes your dash is 100% correct.

Update.
Seats are being re-covered as they were. They're actually perfect seats and look good in the car as is, no need to shorten.
I've got my poorly chromed clamps back from Lusc, ahh, those people, last time they get any money out of me. I've sanded clean the Roof Bow, and am preparing to mount the roof soon. I need to know what product to use thats available locally to glue the material to the Fibreglass Bow that it will stay glued? Contact is not an option here, so don't say it pls. I have sent an email enquiry to 3M SA to ask for their guidance on Industrial fastenings, am awaiting their response. What I think I want to do is use their Industrial TAPE along the front of the Bow, and then glue it onto the bow, and around the front lip which presses up against the Window frame..

Dunno where to get it from, but thats the idea..

Ok,
So, as usual, there's no way I'm going to take a few weeks, let alone months, to finish this car. I'm now 2 weeks since I got it back from the Spraypainter, and, well, it's almost finished..

Today, I managed to fit the Quarter Tonneau I got with the new Roof. I got all the old holes from the previous Tenax bases closed up, so it was a stressful process to drill a pile of new holes into a nice, new body. I had ordered the smaller, threaded tenax bases, so it looks a little cleaner.

Finished off the rear, fitted the scripts I got from the USA, also fitted a 3rd brake light inside the numberplate light for a little, added visibility.
Then fitted all the side chrome edging according to Manny's awesome "how to re-assemble a Speedster" Document. Everything is in the correct locations. I also bought a proper center mount Mirror which helps to finish that off.
Lastly, I decided I wasn't re-fitting a Radio system, but I enjoy having music, so, I have wired in two alternative solutions. One is a 3.5mm stereo jack which can be plugged into a device, phone, MP3 Plater, and the other end wired to RCA's into a little 3 channel Amp. I have a Sub in the back compartment area, and will use two boxed speakers under the front of the dash once the Carpeting's done.
Option 2, I'm using a spare jack which plugs into a Bluetooth controller that I use on my bike helmets. I basically cut off the earphones and mike, and connected to the RCA's into the Amp.This give you a small controller that you can scroll forward or backward through a playlist, pause and play, and change volume, and it's small enough, and removable, so can be fitted on a steering wheel etc, and removed when you're done for the day. The Amp is wired with a remote on\off toggle switch. Car Audio sorted.
So, the "to do" list is near complete. I think I've found my Carpeter, will be seeing him next week. Carpeting to get done. Seats will be back sometime next week, I need to add a 30 mm raised square tube under each seat to lift them a little, the roof then will be my almost last job, I'm going to see 3M agents about an Industrial adhesive for the roof top onto the Bow. That needs to be done right, once, perfectly, so will take my time with the roof.

And last but not least, when my man Mr Z has a gap, I'll drop my Motor, and cleanup all the tin, redo the entire bay with new Rubber, and then fit the new Shroud and new Pulleys etc, and put the motor back in. After that, when Tony has some time, I'll bolt on some polished heads, and we should be good to go for Spring\Summer in the winelands..

All in all, I'm VERY pleased with the car and it's finish, it's a completely different car to what I bought 7 months ago as Gary said, and I'd like to think it's now looking the part, a high quality Replica Speedster.
