The Werner guy selling the Brasilia, 71 bay, and KG, might not be part of this... Although... some of the cars do seem identical.

Now they're offering this very sweet 1970 Westfalia. It's not as original as they claim, but very nice nonetheless:

Seems like his wording is becoming less agressive/abusive towards possible clients.
At R260 000 the buyer will have to decide if he is comfortable with a missing/faulty heater/demister system. No outlets anymore, controlling levers missing.

Possibly a failed watercooled hack that was cheaply fixed/reverted to aircooled?

And they're still moving around. From Sandton to Centurion to Kempton Park to Germiston and latest ads now have them in central Joburg.

If, at first, you don't sell your wares ... RAISE the price.
Now asking R310k:

These prices are getting ridiculous...R300 000 for a baywindow....
It seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon too. You can't buy a beetle for a decent price anymore. Peaople are wanting to sell their late model beetles for 40 and 50k...good and well if the car is in excellent condition. People are asking up to 30k for a beetle that is rusted ISM...
Baywindows seem to be the next thing...any restored, and I use the term lightly, baywindow on gumtree etc and it's at least R100 000 to 200 000.
Want a project bus? gimme 20 to 50k for a rust bucket with a watercooled conversion and modifications up to the yazoo and a DIY interior.
I won't even get into the price of aircooled Porsches these days...let's just say that a couple of years ago you could buy a decent enough targa for around R200 000...if I remember correctly. Now it's meeeeellions!
Maybe I am getting out of touch with the prices, but if you factor in the costs of new panels or repairs to currently rusted panels, a complete respray, getting a proper t1 or t4 engine or reconditioninig said engines if they are included, and then sourcing any bits that might be missing, it becomes an expensive hobby. Now you still have sellers wanting top dollar.
Worst is people who sell to overseas buyers...we will eventually be left with no classic cars.
And the worstest is people who have old cars in their yard that are rusting to shreds, but will not sell you the car as they are going to eventually restore it, even though they have 3 kombis that are all going to dust, and their house is in such a state of disrepair that it seems it will fall over if you fart too loudly....
Come on people give us normal people a chance to restore and care for our beautiful classic cars. You can make a buck somewhere else.
PS I am looking for a solid baywindow crewcab

It looks like these guys are setting up a formal ACVW repair and restoration shop. This ad is for an ACVW mechanic, and 2 weeks ago they advertised for a body repair specialist:

So now these guys are touting left-hand drive Brazilian buses. I wonder how they're getting past the fact that it's been illegal to register a LHD car in SA since 2000.
This one is misadvertised as a 15-window deluxe:

Rikus, your westy was already registered, was it not? And your Beetle Charles?
There is no problem with changing ownership of a LHD already on the register. It has been illegal to do a first registration of a LHD since 2000.
I very much doubt this bus has been previously registered in SA, based on another ad from this seller offering split bus restoratio packages and showing a bunch of LHD Brazilian splits. I suspect they are all recent imports and are not registerable in SA.
I have personally never seen a LHD Brazilian split bus in SA. Has anyone else? There are a fair number of LHD German buses on our roads.
