Oval track Super Midgets
purpose of having the wing asymmetrical ?
I think it has got more to do with the looks than anything else. The wing does make a difference to the handling of the car, in Pretoria we got about a second and a half difference around a 380m track.

We have'nt worked on the drag beetle in ages. It features:
Beetle backbone, with tubular chassis from there
Raised tranny
Ally front suspension
Imported drag box
Full fiberglass body with lowered roof
Type 1 turbo methanol engine with BIG boost
Hopefully this beetle will be running by the end of this year.

Considering people want to add weight to a bug's nose, why does one add an aluminium beam to a bug?
I'd presume this is a bad idea for a street car?
I've only heard of them being used on drag buggies.

I think the ally suspension will be good for a street car as well. You need to have huge traction to lift the front wheels in a full bodied car.
We are fitting wheelie bars to the drag beetle to keep the nose down. The battery and fuel tank is as far forward as possible.

Mmmkay.
What are the weight savings like compared to the cost?
HtF do you move the fuel tank forward?

...and where does the battery go? I presume this doesn't get done to a street car?
