ANYONE GOT MORE DETAILS ON THE EVENT IN POTCHESTROOM?
This is the info I got from IMPI a while ago:
The Reformed Church in Potchefstroom is presenting a Car show/cum Swop meet on Womens Day, 9 August 2006
This year they have decided on a VW theme and thus invite all VW owners to bring their cars and parts. Plots for swopmeeting will be available for R50 each whilst cars are free. We also hope to regenerate the Northwest VW club at the same time.
Hope to see you all there.

ANYBODY GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO DRIVING A BUG WITHOUT ENGINE SEAL?

If its just the rubber engine seal and you are worried about it, take the bootlid off and drive it there.

otherwise get yourself a set of standoffs and raise the top of the engine lid like mine... I did it without the standoffs though, just remove the lid, bolt the hinge on the mounts from underneath, using only the one bolt - bottom bolt onto the top mount hole. The catch should still line up.
