Believe it or not its been 18 mths since Milly was painted, shortly after she was painted I started to see a couple of blisters on the rear arches, they have slowly been getting worse. I have been puzzled at why they appeared as I saw the bare metal before she was painted and the arches were mint. I asked Gav to have a look for me.
Here is what I'm talking about:-

As you can see its not to bad but I wanted it sorted anyway so up to Custom Classics she went:-

I stripped out the rock and roll bed and asked Gav to sort out the seat belt bolts in the rear while he was there:-

This one I had covered in Chain Lube to stop it getting worse when I spotted it some time ago:-

Old piece cut out:-

New put in:-

Sadly, this is the nature of the beast called "rust" :(

It's always amazing to see whats lurkes under the panel that has a bit of surface rust on the other side

At least your bus is getting the right treatment, but yeh, what a sad sight to see it having to get cut like that, especially on bus that looks so good !

I tell you what it upset me no end, I'm just hoping it doesn't break out anywhere else

Called up Custom Classics today, the LHS of Milly is looking 100% again, no more rust and a nice matching paint job. Te RHS is a slight shade out Gavin was going to redo it but we didn't have the time so I'll live with it until next winter and get it redone then.
