Hi yes karmakoma it is sometimes difficould for some one else to imagine the look that the end product is going to have
I `m lucky and have buile quite a few cars before and and from the beginning have a certain look in mind but then the Owner has also his own and through Much deliberation and Coucus you end up with a nice Project

I must admit the Beetlefanatic has been one of the nices Clients/Friends to work on a project like this nowhere has he skimped or said no just DO IT

Now that he is Back Landing tonight for a longer while and moved to PTA he can play on the Cab and do alot of finishing tuches on the Cab While I am buzy with the 2L motor and Start with Phantoms Rotary Puma

I saw the cabrio today and I must say I am very happy with the way it looks. Bugger thanks a lot for all your trouble and effort. I really appreciate it.

Well, Bugger and I went to Autostyle today and after spending almost 2 hours there we walked away with the major parts of the sound system and some interior goodies. I went with Starsound Digital components. 4" inch split systems and 4ch amp. One set for front and one for back. I didn't take 6" splits to keep things as small as possible for a stealth installation. 10" sub and 2ch bridgeable amp. Now just waiting for stock to get the mp3 player/gps unit.
Also got a very nice steering wheel with quick release hub. Will post some pics later in the week.

Well, it's been almost 4 months since the last post and nothing new has been done to the cabrio.
Partly because I was moving and also that I don't really have a place to work and then safely store the car for the night in order to carry on the next day. To work on the car I have to rent a trailer and take it to the smallholding, work on it and then return it to storage for the night. Hopefully when I'm back home I'll be able to work something out as I would really like to finish this car in time for Ferdi's swop meet. There is still a lot to be done, so it will be a tight deadline. This is the list to get the car roadworthy and licensed.
1. Install master cylinder
2. Install new brake line
3. Clearance front calipers and mount
4. Fit brake pads front and back
5. Fit crystal headlights
6. Fit stainless firewall kit and insulation
7. Tighten rear axle nuts
8. Fill gearbox with oil
9. Install gauges and sensors
10. Check electrics and wiring
11. Buy and fit windscreen
12. Fit seatbelts
13. Modify side mirror mounts
14. Colour code and fit side mirrors
15. Fit window scrapers and rubbers
16. Turn rear suspension 1 spline
17. Fit steering and boss
18. Fit release bearing and guide tube
19. Fit Clutch and pressure plate
20. Fit Battery
21. Engine
22. RWC and license

Some cosmetics I would like to add
23. Stone guards and kickplates
24. Door and hood handle scratch guards
25. Alarm and central locking
26. Sound installation
27. Interior lights
28. Pedal covers
29. Center console

The last list can wait a while, at least I'll be able to drive the car. To tell the truth, looking at the list, I doubt if I'll be able to finish before end of Aug, as I'll only be able to start working around the 10th of Aug. That means more than 1 thing a day will have to be crossed of the list, but I'm going to give it a try.

Sounds like you have you work cut out for you,but once you get stuck in,it's amazing how many things you can fit in one day.

Maybe you should make a list of everything you want to fit in one day.

Sounds like a lot of work, but at least you have a list, get stuck in, and as Chris says, before you know it, you can tick off a couple of items. With the help of a friend or two it could go even quicker
