It's definitely time to take this to the next level. I've been in contact with muzzie and suggested that he contact all the other victims of Tyl Hannemann and persuade them to make sworn statements, after which a formal case can be made with the police.

By my count, no fewer than 6 people have claimed on this thread that they were scammed by Tyl Hannemann/Edward Jonker/Mark Jones. Some of those scammed are convinced that Tyl Hannemann/Edward Jonker/Mark Jones are all the same person.

I have shared the usernames of everyone who has posted their experiences on this thread or who PMed me, for muzzie to follow up.

I'm starting to wonder if the purveyor of the rash of shiny restored LHD Brazilian buses on gumtree isn't Tyl Hannemann.

There's a seller whose location is listed as "Overberg", who has advertised several of them, as well as another seller in "Bedfordview". Most of these cars appear to be registered and licensed, despite it being illegal to register LHDs in SA since 2000.

The wording of the latest ad sounds very much like the language we are used to from this seller. And note the backgrounds in the pics on the "Overberg" ads, which look very much like the southern Cape coastline between Hangklip and Hermanus. Pringle Bay anyone?

Here's one of the Bedfordview seller's ads. No phone number, only email seller through ad, which is one of the reasons we started watching these guys in the first place:

Both of these buses showed similar scenery in the background of the pics, but the ads are no longer available and the pics I linked showed the buses, not the backgrounds:

Overberg sellers numbers listed as: 0606922153, 0606471429 and 0720838976. The last number was for the all blue bus, which was listed as E Cape, but seller told a forum member bus was "near Hermanus". The light blue and white bus, which is shown with the all blue bus in the last pic above, was offered by a seller using 0606922153, which is the same number as the seller of the current dark metallic blue and white bus, and the previous red and white bus.

Those who have been following this thread will recall there was someone in "Kempton Park", Edward Jonker, who offered a bunch of unrestored Brazilian buses, including LHDs for sale as a lot. I wonder if these are the same ones? "Edward Jonker" has already been linked to Tyl, and some of Tyl's victims believe they are the same person.

And another one posted today, in "Krugersdorp". LHD Brazilian. No phone number and seller listed only as "Mark". Mark Jones?:

That trim above the driver's door is the same as can be seen on the light blue and white bus shown in the post above.

Tyl is known for having buses restored at panelbeaters all over the country. Some previous ads with his style were for cars claimed to be in Potch.

Just for interest sake, a Till Hannemann bought my AutoVilla from me and said he was one of the Four Jacks and a Jill. Don’t know if its the same person. His son phoned me saying he wants to buy it to tour the country.

Interesting. Wikipedia lists Till Hanneman (other sites list his name with 2 Ns at the end: Hannemann) as the original guitarist of Four Jacks and a Jill. Someone else on this thread named Till Hanneman as Tyl's father.

Interesting ............ the latest splitties for sale ............. the house in the background of one of the pics looks very much like the one that has been passed on to me that is linked to Tyl and his family!

I can confirm that is indeed Tyl's home and also a well known guest house. If anyone needs to serve legal papers there, PM me and I'll share info.
