My guess would be bad fuel. Problem started shortly after the fuel stop.

Grease from underneath the fuel pump is getting into the petrol somehow and then building up on the plugs.

1 & 3 where ice cold, and 2 & 4 would burn your hand, so it could not be the carb's
Had a look at the spark, and found that # 1 & 4 were not sparking.
