The windscreen frame is a bent 16mm square tubing frame slanted back completely to reduce drag. The seats are custom made, you lie down in the car. The top of the windscreen is inly 98cm from the floor.

And I thought your little was driving it haha
Wow thats lower than a Ford GT4o but I think not so good on the back over longer distances.
A very nice car but you need brakes boet.(Before you make it fast make it stop fast )
cheers

Re: My Buggy - More Pics
Your back is completely supported since you are lying down. I've driven it to Witbank and back with no physical problems, except maybe the ears.....it's very loud, both the intake suction part and the exhaust.
When I brake hard continiously, the brakes fade, but under normal driving it's fine. Like I said, when I find a descent adapter, I will fit the 911 brakes.

Re: My Buggy - More Pics
Will find out one day when I get my lazy ass into gear and prep the car properly for a track day.....I'm hoping to do the 400m initially in about 13 sec. I should be able to considering the current engine RPM's, box & diff ratios, and the car weighs in at about 500kg.

That's for personal growth in the future. I have a 250 hp, 4 fogger wet kit that is ready for installation. I HOPE to bolt about 80 hp on with it. I have aDr Jacobs Nos controller already wired in. It allows you to retard timing, set the RPMs where you want the Nos on and off, as well as the rate at which you want to feed the laughing gas. All this is built into the dashboard.

Please dont forget that you need to add fuel when you add NOS otherwise you lean out and kill the engine very very quickly
Did you know that NOS is non-flammable?

Re: My Buggy - More Pics
Got it. Presently I'm a little worried about the amount of fuel the pump (Audi type) will get to the foggers. I have a Holley pump that can do 110 gallons per hour that I am thinking of modifying in.

Re: My Buggy - More Pics
Get a seperate fuel pump for the fogger system and give it a regulator to make sure it supplies fuel at exactly the pressure your nos system wants.
Put a small expansion tank (like a hydrophore or an accumulator) inline to make sure you reduce pressure surges as often as possible. Wire the pump to start as soon as you press the on button for the Nos system, so that once you have the engine rpm for the nos to trigger, you already have the fuel pressure. Another good option is to have a recirc back to the fuel tank that has a restrictor in it (0.5mm hole for example), that way you always have fuel moving and you reduce the chances of air being in the system.
You only get one chance to make a mistake with nos - the last chance

Re: My Buggy - More Pics
yep my dad had a seperate little fuel tank just for the nos in his xr8...i can remember my dad was at a top end run in wit bank once and something went wrong with the fuel so he was spraying just clean nos,he says he was giving it and when he hit the nos the thing went like a bat out of hell and then...BOOM...so ja nos can be costly...
