Dawie, you cooking with gas now, think you onto it.......
Here is photo of the basic chassis, welded and ready for front and back wheel assembly's,
before stiffening the chassis can begin.

Parts list also mentions: "type 4 gearbox". Wich have hypoid offset, so diff cannot be flipped for reverse rotation. (And engine too long to fit forwards under beetle bonnet?)
Meaning engine still facing backwards, although mounted in front.
Maybe something like this?

Although "Mc Fearsome" struts upper may interfere with seats.
