Right then......my suspension woes seem to have been sorted. A big thanks to Mr Dave Rowley for stepping up to the plate.....and soon i'll be getting back a completely rebuilt, re-plated, re-everything suspension!!
(thanks for the advice Merlin and HR, Dave is indeed a very nice guy)
Dave will be adding his adjusters and a disc conversion that we're hoping will be something special, in addition to a complete overhaul - everything. Very similar to his bug, reversed discs, which means i get to maintain (as close as possible) the width. Time (and some good engineering) will tell. At some stage i'll have to look at getting a new frame head, but only after I get to have someone do the measuring for me.
The bodywork is starting to look a hell of a lot better than when i started. The front end took more damage than i expected, hence the need for a new frame head, but we should be getting round to start the undercoating pretty soon, that is when the weather clears up down here. (What the missus doesn't know is that i'll be building a spray booth in the garage
)
Will post some pics of progress as soon as i have a sunny day again. I'll be joining you one of these days G!!!
Seems Mr Rowley also has his eyes on my motor when i'm ready....wonder what he has in mind for my ideas!!
Watch this space!!
