Adventure Galande Strassen?
Apart from making this as fast as and as capable as a adventure bike I want it to look the part as well.
I know I will cut my audience down in half with this cheesy plan but how cheesy it may sound I still want it and want it neat.
May be copy the look of a GS? After all it is a “Galande strassen”?
Similar looking front mud guards, fibreglass nose that resembles that of the GS, panniers and top box to fit the bigger size. I would like the extra space!
Ok now I have lost another half of my audience.
For the last quarter, the Idea is that if you look at the car it must resemble an adventure bike. May be the orange would like nice just don’t want to break down?
Any body with a wild imagination please share your thoughts.
If you know of someone that can manipulate the current picture into something please give me details so I can make contact.
If this means fibreglass shapes who can do moulding and design for me?
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Adventure bike?
I would say take a look at the Baja 1000 (Class11?) racers for ideas. Getting the GS beak and look incorporated into the Beetle will be an interesting exercise, to say the least!

Starter moter needed
This beetle has an 2L GTI motor with a IRS/Kombi gearbox. What starter motor would I need to buy to fit on gearbox housing as well as Gti flywheel?

Clearly going to need more professional input here? Anybody that can help with drawing up a virtual ride?
I see the question has been raised but could not find the answer?

It all depend on what bellhousing were used for the conversion. Gilo enginering will be able to help you with a flywheelON-RNR wrote:This beetle has an 2L GTI motor with a IRS/Kombi gearbox. What starter motor would I need to buy to fit on gearbox housing as well as Gti flywheel?

First fluids i added, in at the top out the bottom!!
With closer inspection I found the bottom bolt has torn out at some point and a blind person with two thumbs has welded this in place.

Re: Adventure bike?
I was hoping to get it going and see whats needs to be repaired. So I found out that i need to fix a leak before it will run!
To get this little leak repaired turned out to be a good thing. I am still busy working around this starting point, but let me not get ahead of myself!
The question in my mind is did the driver realize that he has hit a rock of some sorts, stopped and see if all is OK?
Where do you find the answer?
