I would really have loved to see one of these buses new. Eish, buying a car with an interior like that must have been disappointing.

UPDATE TIME!

The bus wasn't sold to me with the motor built and installed in it in these photos. Said engine was built by none other than our Bill Noble and what an engine it was! A quick call later, and yet another FANTASTIC 1600TP motor was ordered from Bill to be built to stock specs as far as possible for this bus. Bill has been beavering away for a while creating another master piece. The case is Brazilian, and it has new German.... EVERYTHING! - One thing Bill had in his stock pile was a Brazilian oil filler neck so that's been added for it's natural beauty .

MacDonalds did all the machining and the entire assembly and setup was done by Bill . Brand new parts were bought where possible, together with some NOS and flawless second-hand bits. I fetched the engine on Monday this week and couldn't resist installing it right away so it went in Monday night and the wiring was sorted by Tuesday. I have taken a video clip of it's 'virgin start-up' but it's too large to post . It runs BEAUTIFULLY and sounds amazing with the Tuffex exhaust system. I did want heater boxes but the set I'd sourced were too far gone to repair so "J's" will do the job for now.

When We did the paint on The Panel Gavin sourced Baywindow seats and Rails which I carved out and modified the bay rails to fit in the splitty and it worked out very nice
was not a small task but woth it all

Thanks for all the compliments guys! Really appreciate it . My plan is to eventually checker-board the garage floor, find a retro fuel pump and just maybe a fourth aircooled to fill that gap

@ Fig: Hahaa! Yup, the '62 underwent a makeover too. It turned out to be quite a lengthy process which took well over a year to complete. You must have seen this bug yonks ago! .

Well spotted Rui. A mate and I are in the process of buying the place. Been living there since December last year. Everything, barring a bicycle and one roof rack in there is mine and has been strategically placed . Due to an 'own business' scenario, the banks have been full of the proverbial so we've started paying the place off cash. With the business reaching two years of existance soon, apparently the banks ease up on 'own business' applicants. Plan B is very much in place should they not .
