nice bus guy
but, personally (no offence), if it was mine, i would lose the wide load panels and put the others that go with the sides of the bus (like the one in your profile pic).
but, whatever floats your boat

It's look like a builders bakkie with the wide body... But you don't see them like this anymore... and a Beetle fit on the back of it!!!

That is exactly what IMPI did with his s/c and I think the result is good!

Yes, the Fleetline wide bak is ugly. But it's also a super rare configuration, and very useful. I'd be happier if people who want to "lose the wide load" bed would rather keep looking for a German bus or one with a completely rusted wide bak and save the few remaining good ones to people who can appreciate them.
One day Fleetlines will be appreciated for what they are and valued accordingly, but by then there will be very few survivors. Fleetline Kombis and panelvans were far more plentiful than the bakkies, and there were only about 5,000 of all types made between 1/75 and 3/76.
If anyone else wants to lose their wide bak, let me know and I'll come and fetch it.
Keep it

To each his own....
the german dropgates looks much better, and you can always put the wide bed back on later if you want.
whats the point in having a vehicle you don't even like

Good luck on finding a german single cab in this country..........
Only two people who appreciate the single cab fleetline is you and merlin.......
I say take them off......remove the bed and store them if someday someone maybe wants to convert it back..........

I came across a guy once who wanted to make a braai...so he took off a s/c gate and hacked it up for that purpose.
I had to hold back a LOT to avoid beating the Sh*t out of him.
