I lowered my single cab about 75 mm and let me tell you: other than looks No go The trip to Fig's was hell It bottoms for each little undulation and ripple in the road I will probably raize it a bit again It seems about 25mm drop is max if you want to use the bus Obviously going for a total new suspension setup will alow serious drops but .......
I still like the looks though.

Sergio awesome buddy !!! mabe a avis lowering system like my Bug has you can rais and lower the front suspention as you please !!! and i dont have issues with it ...
but yes your buss your taste ( i would drop it too)
and as for handling last night i was drifting in the rain with my 245 40 17's at the back with no body roll .. lol !

Do you know how to do this - properly
Have you gotten advice, instructions, and diagrams to help you
What about clearance issues, camber, etc.
This is not a 5-minute decision and job

Merlin .. i dont know them i was told .. in east london i would have people to help me ... and its the avis system not physically removing those bars ! in the inside of the syspention barrs !

I have no idea what an Avis adjuster is, but it sounds like you're describing remving torsion bar leaves to lower a VW.
This does indeed lower the ride height, but is the bush mechanic way of doing it. Not only do you soften the springing, but you put the remaining leaves under additional stress, increasing the likelihood of failure.
Please also consider that all suspension, steering and brake parts are life and death parts. If you value your life and the lives of other people on the roads, you will only do professional, high quality mods to these areas.

The worst part of the job is to remove the front suspension completely then the center draglink needs to ber
removed (it is spring loaded and will be stuffed up if you do not use the correct procedure.
Then it has to be dismantled and the center stops loosened. I would love a set of Avis adjusters but they are not too be found here (an avis adjuster is two half moon shaped plates with interlocking teeth that allows adjustment on the teeth. originally invented by Gary Avise of Gary's VW specialties.) there is not really enough space on a bus to fit any thing else. At least the adjustable feature lets you correct the effect of too low a bus.
The rear gets dropped in the same manner as a bug but be very carefull I have seen a broken arm from a spring plate coming loose.

...those are not Avis adjusters.
I'm not sure of the correct terminology, but I know them simply as 'adjusters'.
It's what I run on my bug.
