Okay, so it's gone with the yellow and the primer is done!!!
Very funky camouflage, guess it's ready to be a army dune buggy!!!
NOW THE WET FLATTING STARTS!!!!!

I would seriously consider putting the clear coat straight on top of your prep work. Looks great in the "camo"

Hahahahhaa.........The actual purpose of the matt-black mist-coat (camo) is to know where have or have not wet-sanded, sorta-like a guide.
But I'm sure you all know that!
Looks kinda funky though...

I have owned it for about 3 years now but progress is dik slow, I live in a block of flats and I'm not allowed working on the car there, so I do what I can every now and then when my dad lets me abuse his garage or when I can at the office over weekends.
I have fitted disk brakes up front, redone almost all of the front suspension (all ball-joints, kingpin linkpin, bearings). I've done a crap load under the skin repairs and upgrades, I need to still rewire, install all new electrical components, lights, etc. The fibreglass on the back needs some attention, the interior must be redone, I'm saving up for a rotary conversion I want a 'box by bugger done too, then it needs a total respray and new wheels too, the wheels in the pics are temporary (old cossie wheels).
I have a disk brake kit for the back thats going on next, just need some time now..

Awesomeness!!!
It's a bummer not being able to work on your car from home. That really sucks!
You have certainly done some great mods! Big-up there, it just shows me that I still have to go "under the skin"!
mmmmm.....TIME & MONEY.....!!!!!!!!
Will never have enough of both!
Normally they say that a car is a beneficiary before your death, but in our case it's a labour of love!
Keep us updated with your progress.
Great Work!!
Thanx
Louis
PS: (Where did you get that windscreen?)

Will keep you guys posted, and yes, there's never enough time & money
To top it all I don't have a camera at the moment so I can't take pics whenever I work on it, I borrow a camera everytime I go to a show, its also next on my list.
The 'screen is the same that gets used on the Speedster kit cars (my Lolette was manufactured like that with the windscreen) and until a little while ago you could get it from PG Glass, now Replicars sells them, I bought mine about a year or two ago for about R1200-00 if I can remember correctly, that doesn't include the frame and rubbers.

Yep, its a bit steep for such a small piece of glass, but what can you do? if you need it, you need it..
Replicars have been very helpfull with my needs, but there might be other guys too that can help with it..

It appears that the Spyder in the pic below has a wraparound plexiglass or perspex windscreen - not unlike that of a speedboat - perhaps is could be a cheaper option?
