Hi all!

Found this forum while looking for info about bugs and LRP. Looks good, so I have joined up. I drive a '77 S-based Baja that I maintain myself (student budget you know), so I am probably going to be pestering the technical gurus with the odd question now and then.

Cheers,
XV

Hi Guys and Dolls
So far been spending up to 5 hours a night reading and checking out this great site. I have a 20 year old beach buggy which I converted to Nissan power 2 years ago after the motor and again after spending 5 gee's for an overall. The reason for the name is obvious when you know i am British by birth and the buggy gave me endless hassles in its first 5 years on the road. I eventually taught myself about beetle motors, with the help of BIG JOHN MUIR,after, believe it or not, my local mechanic refused to repair an oil cooler oil seal. He told me he'd never worked on a beetle motor before. duh!!!!!!! So I now do every thing myself. I saw some body mention a buggy run. This will run on Sunday 22nd from 10 am at Bayside MacDonalds. Hope to see some of you other buggers there.
Cheers
Hitler

Hey Volks

Finally got round to signing up here.

Those who know me know I'm totally obsessed with split buses. I had to thin out the herd a couple of years back (divorce), so I'm down to "only" nine splitties 8)

This is how the collection looks now:
57 Kombi (Uitenhage assembled)
59 single cab (originally supplied in primer)
61 panelvan (original signwriting "Oxford Radio")
63 Dormobile (the only Martin Walter Dormobile I've seen in SA)
67 double cab (just bought it!)
75 Fleetline panelvan (daily driver)
75 Fleetline panelvan (the wife's!)
75 Fleetline panelvan (rolling shell, for sale)
75 Fleetline Kombi (going to the bodyshop as soon as I finish stripping it)
