Long time since my last post.
This is what the car looks like now (face lifted).
I'm currently working on a major upgrade:
New engine and gearbox, disc brakes all around and some other extras...

looks damn awesome! I like it.
Just be careful, the cops will nab you for your headlights. There are rules as to the allowable height

Tony Z, you're aboslutly right about the lights.
To add on the illegal side, the rear lights, the rear fenders and the indicators are now gone. Just trying to lighten the car as much as I can.
The front tires are not street legal too and it's a nightmare to drive on the tar.
This car is for offroad use only.

Ron&Gill, one more time just for you:
And this is the new power plant:
Twin ports 2.2 liters engine, stroker kit, dual Weber carb, extra large oil sump, sand/water proofing, and some more extras...
Built by Dave and Shauwn from Flat Four Racing.
People say Dave is the best aircooled engine specialist in the country, what I can say is, he's the busiest man in SA...
Mounted on a 1300 refurbished gear box and built for a maximum low end torque.
Made to climb in the trees...

Thanks...
About the same as my buggy except it's 1914. Also built by "Nice Man Dave".
I like the waterproofing on the dizzie.

the engine looks great i also like the tyres on your car it looks verry cool
it seems like no one is into Baja's anymore only see one here and there
most people like std cars or beach buggy's
i also have a Baja but haven't been posting in my thread for a while should put up some new pics
did U put the coilspring shocks in or did U lift the suspension ?

Slak,
I didn't start this engine yet, I'm still busy with other mods for the moment.
At the front I had a new complete suspension made by Flat Four Racing without stopers for maximum travel.
At the rear I added coilover and bus bumpers to avoid rumbing the tires.
Everything still smooth and it's also lifted.
