Very interested in grabbing one, thanks for the efforts so far.

Apologies for my ignorance, but will they fit a 71 Fastback? (is there even a difference between the early and late T3 dashes?)

What is the progress on the dashboards? Very interested in seeing what they look like - perhaps we are just in too much of a hurry????? Hope they will be ready soonish

Yes, the tools and mould are being made, not wanting to rush them into making junk...
But will keep you informed as to how far it is..
I am very sure that they will be good quality.
And yes they will fit ALL type 3's as well as the 71 fastback, I think, , to my knowledge only the front nose changed, not the dash.

Just an up date..

The order has been placed

The moulds are being made, drawings, and base preparations are going well & look good.

The prototype will hopefully be coming off the mould in Two to three weeks, (sorry but it takes time)

This will have to be OK'd by me, and then we will produce the dash boards, this go's fast.

Please start saving..........

Would they consider Audi B1 series dashes too? I know of at least 2 other forum members who have a B1, and I think between us there are 5 dashes to be reproduced.

Main difference is in the speaker grille area. Late model has a solid plastic grid and not the holes drilled like the older ones

This would be possible, do not know the dash, but would have to lift out of the mould without reverse curves.

Also we would have to sacrifice one dash to make the mould, this will be total destroyed in the manufacture process.

Lastly the cost of 5 units would be approx. R 25 000.00, May be cheaper.

Please send me photos of the dash by it self and I will get approx. cost for you.

It is not worth it if you make less then 10 or 20.

if you make 5 each cost you R 5000
If you make 10 each cost you R 2500
If you make 20 each cost you R 1750

But I do not know the size of your dash, it may be cheaper as we are assuming that it is 2 times bigger then the fastback dash

But I have been informed that Tools and Mould ready for 1st test on Tuesday 26/4/2011

Just to let you know that the factory enjoyed this chocolate,bunny, Easter thing so much, that they decided not to work today..
So the test is off for today..... .. .... But it is "on" for Thursday, .. ..will keep you informed..
