I think Dolf imported them direct, not sure.

As a matter of interest no body filler was used in the complete repair process of the body and parts and where needed lead wiping was used. All loose parts were sanded down to bare metal and sent for e-coating. Unfortunately the e-coat bath was to small to have the complete body e-coated and we would have to cut the Beetle in half. :( :( :(

Its a special process to treat bare metal parts for rust protection, the same as done by the motor manufacturers.
