Nice one, making some progress - Fleetline headlights should be ok, same wiring up, connections, mountings, etc. Are your rear lenses the small round ones ?

Also got the fuel tank of the bay window D/C... Will that work on the split window D/C?

You can get the rear tail light lenses locally, here in the Cape anyway, Dave Rowley and others import them, not original
Hella quality oviously, but nice and new. Unsure about the bay fuel tank in your split DC. I have a bay window tank in
my Fleetline SC (previous owner), will have to make new or improvise the fixings, the filler neck also looks awkward, but
it works, I'll probably put a split tank back in later. You can have your old fuel tank cleaned/refurbished.

Hi Tiger good luck as I am basically at the same spot with my 66 panel as your DC
I just bought the steel today to build a Rotiserie for my spilt bus as I took it to a sand blasting company for blasting but stopped them as I got details of someone that I have seen his work and they do a nice sand blasting job and cheaper than the 1st option
They normally charge R1000 for a fiat 500 but he quoted me R1800 to do my bus inside and out
Will keep you posted
What is the gearbox code on the fleetline box you got
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

Hi Bugger, please will you take pics of your rotiserie, how you make it, etc, etc. What are they going to blast it with? I've has some bad luck with sand blasting, especially the panels. But it is without a doubt the best way to go. Are you going to put it in primer yourself?

I have also heard alot of stories about sand blasting that has gone wrong.... :( :(
But it is true, sand/media blasting it first is the best then you know what you got to work with.
I did find one place in JHB that I was going send it for sand blasting too.. He quoted me R1200 to sand blast and R700 for MS primer or another primer that you can weld, etc with.. cant remember what it called. When I spoke to him, he said they use a very very fine sand to blast with so there "shouldn't" be any warping of panels....

But I didn't take it there.. decided to hang on a bit and see if BUGGOFF could do it.

This is the place details below..
