I like it ... but I would paint the horn grilles black as well.

Please show us pics of the vintage gear lock. Is it an original gearlock or aftermarket?

you raise a good point about the horn grills. I did think about that but then thought the headlight chrome might be left out, as would the bonnet handle.

the gear lock is from WBW, so not old but looks the part.
