Ok, so this is what you do
1. Switch off ignition
2. Press and hold the trip reset button.
3. Turn on ignition and turn trip reset button to the right while still pressing it in. Hold it there until display returns to normal.
4. PM me R50

Had a faulty GUD filter once on my Jetta 4; showing the oil pressure warning; a piece of silicone (part of the filter) came adrift and blocked the oil passage; fortunately it was just about time for a service and no damage. Thanks for load beepers and red warning lights.

SambaOwner, by any chance, do you have this kind of advice on a "Service" light on a Renault Scenic? I did the service myself when it called for it, but the light is still on

Yeah the beeps and warnings are much help. Luckily I sent in the car for a service afew weeks after. So no chances taken.
Zero, have you tried pulling off the Battery + cable and leave it over night? That sometimes helps.

anyone?
If you mean the spanner symbol & message such as 'change oil soon' just scroll through your trip computer as you do when you zero your trip mileage when you fill up with petrol.
(press top button of right hand stalk).
Scroll through trip mileage/ averages etc until you get to the change oil message and then clear it the same way you clear your trip mileage by holding the button in until the message flashes & clears.
This also works with the 04 scenic. I had to keep the button pressed in until the "service after 18000 miles" message disappeared, not sure if this is the case with all models?- Bluerainbow

Hi,
I was looking to reset the sevice meter on the wifes C3 and did some google research and ended up trying the info I found for what I am pretty sure was a Scenic. Anyways it works!!

So here you go.........
1) Ignition OFF
2) Trip Reset : Push
3) Ignition On WHILE pushing trip reset (Ignition on but not to start the vehicle) Kind of a 2 hand operation Left on trip reset and Right working ignition.......
4) Counts down from 10 to Zero - at zero release trip reset and turn off ignition.
Hope this works for you -good luck

Bugandy,
Thanks for your reply. But I tried Smeegle's first and it worked(I had to do it twice though to get the little spanner and service light to disappear. The first try took away the (French) Service now message. I did go out though and tried yours, but nothing happened. Maybe it is because the message has already been reset *shrugs*
Smeegle,
Ek skuld jou 'n bier!!!

(Bugandy, dont mind buying you one too
