Aircooled VW South Africa

So the red Baja story continues. This car belongs to "Stompie-WP". After meeting Mr.X one cold and chilly night, Stompie WP gets involved in VW discussions with him and 4 DAYS later he is given a later model beetle for free, gratis and mahala with the comment, "all I want is the pan - the rest is yours."

Next weekend a plan is made to go fetch the unseen beetle from a farm in Mooreesburg, deep in the swartland.

These pictures will tell the story further.

Am I correct in assuming that you want us to believe that the red baja, is now a green beetle?

Keeping in mind that I have seen the red baja, in all it's non-glory, I have to admit I have only one comment...

WHERE THE !@#%!^# ARE THE REST OF THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!

cant be the same beetle as in one of the pics the green one is parked behind the red one

Guys read my post as follows.

The previous owner of the green beetle only wanted the pan.

The red Baja was stripped to the pan and all the green beetles body and other parts were tranferred to the Baja pan. The green beetle pan was then given to the original owner.


The other reason for doing this was the liceincing issue. The baja was only 3 yrs behind but the green beetle was already in the achives.
