Sambaowner you're posting that in the wrong thread! We have a tongue in cheek thread elsewhere on the site

Re: The most historic ACVWSA pic to date?
Pine, I think the answer is obvious, THAT WAS the most Historic pic to date ! BLitz in a running fasty.
Next one to top that is perhaps Dutch showing up at a social and shaking hands with TomBishop ?!
or SambaOwner doing some work on a westy himself with pictures taken by his son ?
Last but not least, Pine driving a fleetline he bought with the money from selling HW2, now THAT would be historic

I was thinking of building a roving command centre for HW2, something like this, then a Fleetline van would come in handy?karmakoma wrote:Last but not least, Pine driving a fleetline he bought with the money from selling HW2, now THAT would be historic
...and, of course don't for get the seatcover for a valve clearance adjustment and oil change on the go!

Re: The most historic ACVWSA pic to date?
Yes eben, the intake that clamps to the body and airfilter housing is missing. It came with the car, but the rubber is cracked, so I pulled it off and used that flexi tubing for the intake as a temporary measure. I do have a spare somewhere that will go on sometime in the future...eben wrote:Everything except ...?Blitzkrieg wrote:Yes one of the main reasons for buying the car was because everything is there...Ron&Gill wrote:Lekker man!!
