I'm still contemplating if I should get a Puma or Speedster one day.

Just stick around...IMPI will mass produce 356's one of these days....he is speaking about enormous numbers...something like 2 a year . I wish I had the cash to buy a new Puma form Jack Wijker but R160k for a std 1600 is a bit tough...I'll rather fix the old lady to her former glory.

I dont think it's even 30 cars...

Yip, its around 30 or so i think. My brother has number 17 from that production run. I prefer the old ones though, dont like those side windows on the new ones. The doors are nicer on the old ones as well. the only improvement in my eyes is the vented rear lid for cooling.

Did they stop producing them then? There's a place not too far from my house that just a month ago put up a huge sign saying puma dealership something something with 2 new or newish ones standing inside..?

No they are still producing them but the production is going very slow...and then the demand is not that high seeing a 1600 base model costs in the region of R160k. I wonder how many of the original 250 odd is still running?
