hey dutch i read somewhere that you want to buy pines buggy,the sandshark...if want an idea how one can look...have a look at my avatar...same shape...exept the sandshark has a buldge on the bonnet...

thats a bit of a photoshoped version but it looks exactly like that but with trailduster on that are black on the inside and silver on the outside...my buggy is basicly done...ive got a few teething problems but its done...wil post pics as soon as i can but i dont have any good pics right now but im going down in march to hopefully bring it up and then finish my project thread...

Blitz / Pine, On the sandshark, can I remove the windscreen and replace with a lower raked back one? or is it part of the fibre glass?

The windscreen is a seperate moulding, it would be easy to modify. This Sand Shark/Kestrel in the VWSA museum also have a diferent screen

That's the nicest "one of those" I've seen. My first bug was "one of those", it was called "Blou Gemoerte". It was fugly, but man was it good off-road! 1300 engine. Yokohama Super Diggers on the back, it was great. Fond memories of the days when one was allowed on the tracks in the fynbos with vehicles other than a DH8 bulldozer.

dutch i also didn't like that garage door af an windscreen but,i while playing with phototshop i realised that this buggy just doesn't look right without it and if your going to put a roof on it looks more rounded of...but yes it is a seperate mould as you can see in this pic aswell....

So silly question, you can paint the fibreglass just like normal metal? I thought the colour was part of the molding process.
