@buggyfan I had to replace the heads when I bought the Beetle, not sure if it has the hardened valve guides for unleaded 
I'm no mechanic but read something about valve guides in a fuel thread on the forum.
Don't want to take a chance until I get an answer from the machanic
I must just make time and go past the him and find out

also did a couple of jetting runs today. Tried yet another set of emulsion tubes without any luck. Back to an old jet setting which is pretty decent

I am installing adjustable front suspension. Today I cleaned up and prepped things like the tie rod ends etc for a respray and resprayed the front shocks and steering damper.

Fired up the old grey goat trundled to ferdis man was it a slow ride in convoy with a 58 bus following , cane home and fitted my Wolfsburg mud flaps

Went to Ferdi's and got a few spares. Enjoyed the open road there and back from Witbank. Mapping still need some work.

Almost burnt out the rat on saturday night
Tried to get it ready for sunday but the battery was flat so we fitted a stronger battery and with all the exrta juice the one wire from the regualtor the battery termninal melted and smoke was everywhere
So we decided not to tempt fate and leave the rat at home.
