Milly only won Best in class in the Bay Window category against stiff opposition. I'm so pleased:-

Decided to remove my back bumper, exhaust & J-tubes & fit nice new heat exchangers & my Westy Tow Bar.

Rubbed down & painted the new heat exchangers & the old exhaust, two studs snapped in the exaust but fortunatly I managed to drill & tap them out. Also bought a new gasket kit, oil & filter. I've changed the oil & filter now because I have done nearly 4K in Milly now & it's about due.

Started Milly last night & disaster, engine oil spraying everywhere, went to bed a bit stressed out luckily today no jobs came in so My M8 Erik & I took a look couldn't really see properly so I towed Milly with the T4 down to ATS (I know the guys there & they let me use the ramp, they don't normally but this was an emergency) It turns out I had split the oil filter housing trying to remove the old Ol filter.
I called in FBI & luckily Graham had one & he took it off the engine for me. Called in GSF for a gasket kit, then back to ATS, stripped the engine to get off the housing. We had to remove 3 pieces of top tin, the fan pulley, the alternator, the oil fillr neck top, alternator tinware fan housing, oil cooler exhaust & heat exchanges.
So far we've refitted the fan housing, pulley, alternator & tinware, top tinware, v-belt new housing & gasket, the oil cooler with new rubber seals, just got to re-fit the exhaust, heat exchanges, fan guard timing mark plastic & a few screws. Hopefully I'll get it finished in time for Bristol tomorrow.

Here are few more pics of the exhaust & heatexchangers. They have had one st coat of silver since then:-

This is the high temp sealent I've used on he heat exchangers, its over paintabe so now you can't see it.

In order to fit my bumper over the tow bar I need to notch it. So As Milly is down ATS & had to guestimate the diameter of the bar, I won't have time to do it tomorrow so I marked out the slot useing an egg cup of ll things, then I drilled the hole with a hole saw, cut the edges straight & filed it smooth as long as it fits I've done a good job. I'll paint it when I know it fits:-
