DKWs did not have distributors, apparently the engines only had 7 moving components

Hopefully by next week I will have my windage pushrod tubes and intercooler then I can finalize the engine and get boosting.

Damn.... until now I was chuffed about my work on my engine.... good going. Making me jealous!!!!
I noticed you bolted your oil pump down without a cover... are you not worried about damaging the sealing face?
Heads????

The bolts on the pump was tightened by hand....

I just wanted to keep the pump down untill I mount the rest.
As soon as I do get a chance I will put up some pics of the heads. I still need to finish up the combustion chambers and just debur all the sharp edges.

Here's my engine assembled. All torqued up and ready to install... whell sort of. I still need to get my clutch back, then the engine can go back into my red bug.
Those intake manifolds are EMPI IDF's, match ported and flowed.

Bolt on tappet covers insure that there are no oil leaks.
