He's got the lines of the cloth arrow straight, he's painted the frames & fitted all ne rubberised horse hair filling as per original. The stipes on the two seats side by side are spot on too:-

Very nice, but, isn't that Deluxe trim for early bays? I thought the correct late bay deluxe trim was thinner and applied below the belt line. That said I prefer the Early Bay deluxe trim.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

If I'm honest I wish I'd not fitted it but its on now & looks good so it will stay. I'm not keen on the late bay style ones :)

We all jumped in the bus on Friday morning & left the house at 6AM, drove to Newport & I went to work while Yvonne & the girls waited in the works car park. Had a shower & a shave in work & got out at 9.30AM (whats the point I did no work & the factory is shutting in 3 weeks) We were on our way by 9.45AM & got on to the M4, stopped in Reading Services to check the oil & strech our legs then we set off again, got to Epsome about 12.30AM & checked in the hotel. We then drove Esher to the Volksworld show where we arrived about 2PM. The Volksworld staff were very friendly & helpfull & got us into place as soon as they could. I was really pleased to find we were in the main hall inside, with all the top vehicles in Europe, to say I was pleased is an under statement.
The 4 of us beavered away at polishing the bus, cleaning the glass & shineing up the aluminium & chrome, Milly looked brand new by about 7PM. We left about 9PM & treated ourselfs to a chineese in a resturant upi the road before getting a Taxi back to the hotel.
Returned to the show the next morning by about 9AM to find that the Volksworld Staff had put a tech sheet in the window & surrounded the bus with barriers it looked really good. Anyway I'll post a few random pics of Milly in the show.

While Milly looked great in the show there is still a lot to do so today I removed the sink & hob cover & sent it over to Kevin for him to fix the laminate up, its starting to come away from the plywood underneath so now he can work his magic on it. I also want to get my electric water tap to work & connect up the gas line to the hob. So I stipped every thing down ready:-

I'll be using a piece off poor old Chug Chug to repair the laminate:-
